     Ron’s background includes experience as a minister, financial advisor and estate planner.  He left a very rewarding career with Trans World Radio, a Christian broadcasting organization, where he developed new radio broadcasts for airing in locations around the world.  Ron received his Funeral Director’s license in February 2007 and holds a California insurance license.  He has over 18 years of experience advising his clients with their insurance and financial needs.  With this experience, he will provide guidance to individuals in pre-planning their end-of-life decisions. 
     Ron’s journey of grief began in 2002 when his father, Glen Harder, died.  His struggle with grief was magnified when his son, Zachary Harder, died in 2006. Through his work as a Funeral Director, Ron will be able to fulfill his passion for helping and caring for people. Ron is actively involved in Creekside Church in Rocklin.

     Jim's career in the funeral services profession began in 1992. He received his Funeral Director’s license in 1998. In 1997, Jim began serving as Assistant Manager at W. F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel, Sacramento’s oldest family owned funeral home spanning four generations.  He credits Patrick Gormley, a fourth generation Funeral Director, with teaching him how to properly serve families. Jim was employed by the Neptune Society of Northern California from 2000 to 2008, serving for 5 years as Managing Funeral Director.  He has handled all phases of cremation. As a first generation Funeral Director, Jim is proud to be a founder/owner of Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel.
     Jim is an active member of First Baptist Church of Sacramento and serves as their Lighting Director.  When not working at The Chapel, Jim enjoys working with theater lighting, photography, fishing, movies, and is an avid fan of the San Jose Sharks and San Francisco Giants.

     Chris comes to Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel with over 20 years of administrative experience in various capacities.  Most recently, she served as an office manager providing operations support for one of the leading management companies of retirement communities in the US. 
     Since marrying in 1967, Chris and Ron enjoyed living in various locations including New Jersey, Oregon, Northern California, and Germany.  They have three married adult children, Malinda, Tim and Steve.  Chris enjoys her role as Grammy to her nine grandchildren. 
     Sadly, their youngest son, Zack died in 2006 at the age of 22, on the 15th anniversary of her mother's death.  Since losing Zack, Chris has been involved in providing grief support to other moms and co-leading the GriefShare series.  They are active members at Creekside Church in Rocklin.
