Ardith (Burda) Berkshire, of Orangevale, California, Passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside, Sunday, June 6th, 2010 at Mercy San Juan Hospital, Carmichael, California. She had suffered a massive stroke just the day before. Mrs. Berkshire was 73 years of age and is survived by her four children, Dr. Debbie (Young) McGee of Boise Idaho; Kirk Young of Austin, Texas; Vikki (young) Gruitza of Sharon, Pennsylvania and Cami Young of Chino Hills, California. She was widowed from her children’s father, Wayne L. Young in 1981 and was currently married to her surviving husband, John H. Berkshire of Orangevale, California. Mrs. Berkshire is also survived by four grandchildren, Madeline and Mercedes Schrenkheisen of Boise, Idaho and JW and Sasha Young of Austin, Texas. She was a dedicated member of Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church and a past working member of Senior Gleaners.Mrs. Berkshire lived in Elkhart from childhood to adulthood and was a 1955 graduate of Elkhart High School, before working her way through and graduating from, Saint Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
